Handler's career began as part of the all-female Oxygen TV show in the hidden camera/practical humor reality show Girls Behaving Unstably. The show ran on air from 2002 to 2005. The handler then began appearing on other TV shows such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler worked on The Tonight Show for a while as a correspondent. Handler got her most famous break in 2006, when she became the host of E! The show was titled Chelsea Handler. The show ran for two seasons. Handler was a performer at The Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour on American soil the year after. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcasted her stand-up shows. In 2010, she announced that she would host at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. It was only the second woman to ever host VMAs, after Roseanne Bar.
